The Thing
While testing an experimental starship
over the earth, three scientists and two NASA pilots are suddenly exposed to cosmic
radiation. They regain consciousness only to discover unique powers have been bestowed
upon each of them. Although most of the team is unaffected in
normal appearance, for Benjamin Grimm, his
world will never be the same. New found super strength and hideous, rock-like exterior
hide marks him as a monster in the eyes of society.
But as a part of the Fantastic Four,
Ben Grimm finds new purpose in his life as a key member of the greatest team of
superheroes ever - while trying to make sure he doesn't ruin a perfectly good cigar.

Fantastic Four film produced by 20th Century FOX and Marvel Comics this highly detailed
and authentic sculpture that was the genesis for the suit
effects used to create the film's ever-lovin' blue-eyed powerhouse, "The Thing".
Standing an huge 16" tall, this detailed and lifelike
solid polystone Maquette was used as the control design model for the fabrication and
sculpture for the full sized suit seen in the film. Spectral Motion and Sideshow are proud
to offer an authentic sculpture from the pre-production design phase of the Fantastic Four
